One dead, three injured in Linden Highway crash

Dead: Kevon Newland

One man is dead and three other persons seriously injured following an accidenton the  Linden/Soesdyke Highway on Saturday afternoon.

The dead man has been identified as Kevon Newland of Wisroc, Linden.

Reports reaching Village Voice indicated that minutes after 12pm motorcar HC 6304 carrying four persons including Newland, collided with a timber truck at Silicon Green- a community on the Linden/Sosesdyke Highway.

Reports indicated that motorcar HC 6304 which was driven by Orin Rose, also known as ‘Six head,’ was heading to Georgetown from Linden when the timber truck exiting a sawmill on the highway, rushed across the road, hitting the car from the driver’s side. The passengers of the motorcar were rescued by civilians and was taken to the Diamond Hospital.
