Family offering reward for info on killer of Durban Park man

Relatives and friends of the late Clint Gravesande who was found murdered at Durban Park last Friday is offering a substantial reward for any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of persons involved in his killing.

In a release family members said although Gravesande chose to live away from his home, he could have always returned to that home and was taken care of by his family. Persons can contact the nearest Police station or the family on Telephone number 646-7270. All information provided will be treated with the strictest confidentiality, family members said.

Police had described Gravesande, age 51, as a labourer of no fixed place of abode. He was killed sometime between 16:00hrs on 13th August and 06:00hrs on 14th August, 2020 at Durban Park, Georgetown. Enquiries disclosed that the victim usually occupies stand #5 which is located on the southern side of Durban Park and about 06:00 hrs on the 14th August, 2020, the victim was seen lying motionless clad in a multi-coloured 3/4 pants which was partly pulled down below the butt. The body of the victim was checked and stabs wounds were observed about the neck and body.  The victim was picked up and taken to Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a doctor.
