Man killed at D’Urban Park identified

The man who was stabbed to death at D’Urban Park Friday morning has been identified as  lint Gravesande.

Gravesande, age 51, is a labourer of no fixed place of abode which occurred between 16:00hrs on 13th August and 06:00hrs on 14th August, 2020 at Durban Park, Georgetown.

Enquiries disclosed that the cictim usually occupies stand #5 which is located on the southern side of Durban Park and about 06:00 hrs on the 14th August, 2020, the victim was seen lying motionless cladded in a multicoloured 3/4 pants which was partly pulled down below the butt.

The body of the victim was checked and stabs wounds were observed about the neck and body.  The victim was picked up and taken to Georgetown Public  Hospital where he was  pronounced dead by a doctor.

The body is presently at Lyken funeral Parlour awaiting Post Mortem Examination.
