26 knives,  ganja found at Lusignan Prison

Joint Services ranks on Saturday conducted a search at the Georgetown ‘B’ Holding Bay located in the Lusignan Prison compound, East Coast Demerara during which a variety of contraband items were found.


During the prison search, the following items were found:
Improvised weapons
* 26 Knives
* 44 ‘juka’
* 19 Lighters
* 6 Scissors
* 12 Cellphones
*  2 SIM cards
* 2 memory card
* 5 razor blades
* Quantity of cell phone parts
* 10 cell phone chargers
* A quantity of metal objects
* A quantity of wires
* 83 small transparent zip-lock bags of suspected cannabis amounting to 20 grams.
The search was incident free.
