By GHK Lall- Forget about real motives.  Ignore hidden agendas.  Keep the focus.  Stay with the objective.  Embrace the PNC.  Disgrace WIN.  There it is in black and white (newspaper and airwaves), and flesh and blood (Ali, Jagdeo, Norton).  Mohamed only now out of jail.  Mohamed now encircled, hemmed in, not much of anywhere to go.  Beware the PPP machinery in action.  It’s a beauty, isn’t it?

Bharrat Jagdeo sez the word.  Swords beaten into ploughshares.  Weapons of conflict transformed into tools of cooperation.  I congratulate Dr. Jagdeo.  He has Messrs. Ali and Norton hugging.  The power of persuasion.  Or the power of the polling booth.  It’s back to ole time, and dis time jus like lang time.  PPP-PNC.  All Guyanese need now is the return of Jagan and Burnham.  They’ll do well with Jagdeo and Norton.  Ah, dis ting call palatiks in Guyana.  From electoral earthquake to political embrace, (PPP-PNC lovefest).

Lall: Jagdeo at Corbin’s Salute -Pt III

The late Robert Corbin must go down as a Founding Father of this version of a New Guyana.  The New Guyana that’s very much like the Old Guyana.  Other than the PPP and PNC, who else around?  WIN just went down like that boat.  Not a gurgle.  Jagdeo waited: midnight ride.  Jagdeo pounced: possession, intimidation.  Ali taken along for the ride.  A president that’s a backseat passenger.

I suspected something was up.  From the time the September 2025 election results came out, the PPP was at its strangest, the unprecedented.  Not one bad word from the PPP brass for one whole year about the PNC.  What’s up with that baby, was the question I had.  I couldn’t get anyone to answer.

Some said Dr. Jagdeo was crass.  He broke the news at a wake.  The PPP and PNC should get back in bed.  Question: when were these two political scorpions ever out of bed?  Review the last year.  Especially when the WIN juggernaut became a force of frightening proportions, creating mayhem everywhere.  It was every man for himself.

Dr. Jagdeo, the sole thinker in the PPP, refocused.  A loser’s game, that one is.  Present the newcomer with too much time, too many targets, and the PPP will absorb all the body blows.  Yeah, corruption is that rampant and that blatant.  Like having one’s pick of any dog that’s favored at a dog show.

The solution was there.  Linkup with the PNC, and the PPP is home scot-free in 2030-1. Everybody wins.  Except WIN.  From being the frontrunner to last year’s newspaper.  Yeah, life is tuff.  Stuff happens.  Ask Jagdeo.  He sang a hymn at Corbin’s wake, and Dr. Ali opened the Book of Revelation at the funeral of the PPP’s newest idol.  Said Archbishop Ali: Corbin left unfinished business.  Which means that the PPP and PNC have a job to finish.  Clean and neat as an ice cream bar left too long in the heat.

I feel for WIN.  So much promise.  So much PPP treachery.  The PPP doesn’t know what it is to fight fair, give a man a square deal.  Now the PPP machinery will roar against Mohamed and WIN.  Mainstream media.  Social media.  Underground media.  The PNC is promised a smooth ride.  Aubrey Norton is already talking about some PNC process for its next presidential candidate.  Matters gallop at a furious pace.  WIN soon to be reduced to a spectator, forced to absorb PPP and PNC gas and dirt.

Well, it was good while it lasted.  Extradition or no extradition, the PNC was looking for a lifeline to bounce back.  Jagdeo extended it.  Ali had no choice.  Mohamed out in the cold.  Talk about the perfection of topnotch machinery, and the PPP is it.  I’m signing up.  Many in the skeptic’s crowd said that Ali and Mohamed would kiss up and mek up.  All along, it was the PPP and PNC playing that game of jump up and kiss.
