Guyana Development Bank: An Opportunity Guyanese Must Seize

Dear Editor,
Deepest CONDOLENCES on the PASSING of Former Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform and Former Leader of the Opposition, ROBERT Herman Orlando CORBIN,  CCH.  Esq – October 4, 2026.
A Former PNC Leader Corbin, CCH.  Esq.,  Born on 15 February 1948 in Linden, served Guyana with Distinction, as Deputy Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition from 23 December 2002 to July 2012 after the passing of His Excellency President Hugh Desmond Hoyte, Esq, SC, OE, and was a STEADY VOICE for COALITION POLITICS and NATIONAL COHESION.
As a Young Man he carried the PNC through a difficult transition, later becoming A LAWYER in his FIFTIES– showing Discipline, Rigor, and Lifelong Learning.
Guyana has LOST a PATRIOT, a Linden SON, a SERVANT LEADER who believed and ADVOCATED for SHARED GOVERNANCE.
His LEGACY LIVES in the PNC and GUYANA’S DEMOCRATIC JOURNEY.
To his Family, PNCR Family, and all Guyanese at home and abroad – our PRAYERS are with you.

May HIS SOUL REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.

Amen        आमीन Aameen              آمين Ameen
Yours truly
Prof Dr. Shamir Andrew Ally
