Aris Mining is aware of photographs and commentary circulating on various media and social media regarding materials currently located at the Puruni River Bridge construction site.
We wish to clarify that some of the materials shown in these photographs are associated with a temporary truss structure being used to facilitate construction activities. These materials are not components of the new permanent Puruni River Bridge.
The new 109-metre permanent bridge is being constructed using new materials in accordance with the approved engineering design, specifications and applicable construction standards.
Construction is being undertaken in coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Public Works and other relevant Government agencies.
Aris Mining remains committed to delivering a safe, durable and high-quality permanent bridge that will improve connectivity and provide long-term benefits to communities, businesses and other users of the Puruni corridor.
