Port-of-Spain, Trinidad: As Caribbean Airlines celebrates the 3rd anniversary of its Sustainability Programme this June 3, 2026, the airline continues to make a positive impact across the region through initiatives that empower communities and invest in future generations.
One such initiative recently came to life in Guyana, where Caribbean Airlines partnered with the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) to host its Career Caravan, education outreach programme, at four (4) secondary schools across East Coast and East Bank Demerara.
Through this strategic partnership with the GTA, the regional airline engaged Forms 3 to 5 students at four secondary schools from May 28 through 29, on the heels of Guyana’s 60th Independence Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Over the two days, students of Annandale Secondary, President’s College, Soesdyke Secondary and Diamond Secondary were introduced to exciting career opportunities within the aviation and tourism industries through presentations delivered by Caribbean Airlines team members and tourism professionals.
Renatha Marshall, Caribbean Airlines Country Manager for Guyana & Suriname, commenting on the Caravan stated: “Our Young people are an important demographic for Caribbean Airlines. It is therefore essential that we engage and connect with them as the next generation of leaders and our Career Caravan education outreach programme provides a meaningful platform to achieve this objective. Additionally, we sincerely thank the Guyana Tourism Authority, a valued stakeholder, for partnering with us on this initiative and helping to make it a success. We further extend special thanks to the Ministry of Education Guyana for giving our team the opportunity to engage with the students.”
The Career Caravan is a flagship initiative under the Education Pillar of the airline’s Sustainability Programme and, since its launch, has positively impacted more than 137,000 students throughout the Caribbean.
This successful collaboration highlights the power of partnership, volunteerism and community engagement. Values that have been at the heart of the airline’s Sustainability Programme since its launch on June 3, 2023.
As Caribbean Airlines celebrates three years of sustainability throughout the month of June, the airline remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities, strengthening communities and making a lasting difference across the region it proudly serves.
