The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR)/A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) express their profound sadness at the passing of the iconic Trinidadian, Dr. Edward (Eddie) George Hart, on January 4, 2026. He was a dedicated parliamentarian and minister who served Trinidad and Tobago with distinction.

Eddie Hart was renowned for his unwavering commitment to grassroots development, particularly in the Tunapuna area, which he represented with passion and integrity. His tireless work and compassionate nature earned him the love and respect of his constituents, making him a beloved figure in the Tacarigua community and across Trinidad and Tobago.

The football fraternity in Tacarigua and beyond has lost a true son of the soil, whose contributions extended beyond politics to inspire and uplift many.

The PNCR/APNU extends our heartfelt condolences to his family, the People’s National Movement (PNM), the political party under which he served, and to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.

May his soul rest in eternal peace!
