In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa on  Jamaica, Banks DIH Limited has announced a substantial humanitarian contribution to aid the  affected communities. In its unwavering commitment to community responsibility, Banks DIH  Limited has donated 500 cases of Rainforest Water and 500 boxes of Triskits Crackers to support  the immediate relief efforts in collaboration with the Civil Defence Commission (CDC).

Hurricane Melissa caused significant destruction across Jamaica, leaving many residents without  access to basic necessities. In this critical time, Bank DIH Limited’s donation hopes to provide  essential food and water supplies to those most affected by the disaster.

“We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, and did not  want to miss the opportunity to support those in need” said Carlton Joao, Marketing Director of  Banks DIH Limited. “As a company, we believe in the importance of standing by communities in  times of need. Our donation is a step towards helping the people of Jamaica as they recover and  rebuild their lives.”

The distribution of the donated items will be managed by the CDC in partnership with local relief  agencies to ensure that the aid reaches the most vulnerable populations quickly and efficiently.  The crackers, chosen for their nutritional value and long shelf life, will be distributed to shelters and community centers across Jamaica.

“We are grateful to Banks DIH Limited for their timely donation. It will go a long way in providing  relief to those affected as we work towards our mission in Jamaica” Colonel Nazrul Hussain,  Director General, CDC.
