…14 customers to become millionaires
In observance of its 14th anniversary Digicel Guyana will launch a ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ promotion in Guyana.
Digicel’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gregory Dean said, “As we celebrate this milestone, our focus remains on our customers and we hope customers enjoy taking part and winning millions with us. Since liberalisation we have committed over $5B to service expansions and improvements. We have completed to date LTE expansions in Bartica, Linden, Port Kaituma, Mahdia, Kwakwani, Potaro Riverain communities, Berbice and Essequibo to support our Prime Bundles and digital launch. This adds to our LTE services in Georgetown and surrounding areas. We eagerly await the granting of various licences, permissions and spectrum allocations to expand our service offerings and coverage in the coming months.”
Digicel announced that fourteen of their loyal customers millionaires as it celebrates 14 years of service in Guyana.
“So how can you become a Digicel millionaire? The “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” promotion gives prepaid and postpaid customers on an active Prime Bundle or who top up with $1,400 or more a chance to win one million dollars ($1,000,000) daily for 14 days starting Feb 1st and concluding on Feb 14th, 2021. Once you have an active Prime Bundle or top up with $1400 or more on the day of the draws, you will get an entry to win one million dollars. There will also be a special surprise for any winner who has been with the network since 2007,” Digicel said.
Digicel will also be rewarding 100 customers with $1,400 in Free Credit daily for the same period.
“Customers performing any activity on the said days will qualify, whether sending a text, making a call, browsing, activating a plan, or using any of Digicel’s eight apps Billo, MyDigicel app, DMusic, Bip, GoLoud, PlayGo, Sportsmax, Loop,” the Telecommunications company said in a statement.
Further, Digicel said that it will also allow social media fans to be part of its celebration too. Fans need to follow their Facebook page (Digicel Guyana), and can win one of 14 laptops. Trivia questions will be posted daily from February 1 to 14 for fans to answer.

Download the Bip messenger app from the Play Store or App Store and be part of the daily Bip Trivia and get a chance of winning $20,000 daily. To end the 14 days of celebration, on Feb 14th, customers on an eligible Prime Bundle can “Shake to Win” in the MyDigicel app and get a chance to win 1 of 14 laptops,” the company said.
