Godly Granger’s Goadee

That undeniable is, politics in being brutally unforgiving, sits inconsistent with biblical doctrine, which precludes it as a vocation for the Mother Teresas of this world. Moreover, apart from epitomising that brutally unforgiving, politics of an Ancient Greek conceptualisation, shares commonality with the Phthonus God, through expressions of morbid jealousy. Which means, politics, albeit a human construct, nevertheless embraces the biblical proposition, that none could navigate serving two masters, without professing slavish devotion to one, at the tragic expense of the other, wholly neglected. Therefore, this the unmistakable inference, one so burdened by an intractable religious conviction, should steer clear of politics, since inevitably, an impossible choice between God or man, would be faced.

However, despite recognising this a potential conflict, David Granger, one deeply rooted in religion, chose to undertake that inadvisable, in his nitwitted adventure of serving two most incongruous masters. So, as a consequence of this his troubled experimentation, Granger was faced with that binary choice, of either pledging allegiance to the God of Israel, or PNC support base of Guyana. But this his decision proved not to be too arduous, for even with the expression of undying support, Granger evidenced no reciprocation, as he valued time on his knees, rather than that on his feet defending the many. Thus, Granger from his untroubled choice, unambiguously communicated to the many sacrificial, that representation would forever stand secondary to the God, who was of shocking inaction during our centuries of brutal slavery, even as post-haste liberation was provided for the enslaved Israelites.

In fact, this stands undisputed, Granger’s awareness of the regime’s relentless discrimination of his support base, which accounted for their collective relief and mass celebrations, on his ascension to the Presidency. Therefore, it was with this awareness, Granger faced the first of many dilemmas, of either following political dogma in prioritising his ever-loyal discriminated base, or pay heed to biblical doctrine in firstly serving the Amerindians of a greater need, but of no support. However, ladened with this his first dilemma, Granger positioned biblical pedagogy paramount to established political dogma, as he provided in abundance for the Amerindians, whilst leaving his base at the mercy of political vultures.

Then, having effectively abandoned those instrumental in his election, Granger was afforded the political opportunity to expand his base, through the provision of a route to Guyanese citizenship, for Caricom Haitians. In fact, even as Granger inevitably took posture on his knees, PPP recognising the implications, established a most racist propaganda campaign in Kaieteur News, disseminating false-hood that the Haitians in-transit at CJIA to Brazil, were of final destination Guyana. As a result, a conflicted Granger faced another dilemma, in choosing between God or his people, through facilitation of the Haitians. However, Granger with eye on the Pearly Gates, chose to renew spiritual vows with his God, which effectively ensured the asylum-seeking Haitians were kept out.

And having now spent five years on his knees, Granger was once again afforded another opportunity of atonement, through the defence of his despairing people. For this stands uncontested, APNU+AFC having won the 2020 elections, were of no legal obligation to pursue ballot fishing, via a never before undertaken national recount. But Granger once again conflicted by religion, declined that politically pragmatic, seeking divine guidance, which informed on a most catastrophic national recount. Then, having pursued the biblical rather than that political, Granger of innumerable chances, was provided yet another opportunity to atone, with PPP endeavouring to prematurely conclude the recount process. However, with his supporters braving the elements in protest of PPP duplicitous actions, Granger selffishly relinquished State House keys, before painfully delivering his final and most crushing abandonment, without the courtesy of an explanation or apology.

Therefore, having been repeatedly abandoned by Granger, albeit providing tireless support, PNC base constructively banished from Congress Place, were designated political vagrants. And PPP opportunistically cognisant of this, did that politically prescribed, in first addressing the needs of their base, even as they constantly reminded the nomads of Granger’s abandonment, before offering them pittance in exchange for their votes. Moreover, PPP informed by political rather than religious principles, did what Granger’s God rejected, in expanding their base through the facilitation of Bangladeshi and Indian migrants, whilst keeping the doors securely shut to the Haitians, through mandatory visa requirements. Then, Azruddin Mohamed, watchful of PNC base wandering in the political wilderness, erected, out of political expediency, the WIN big tent, with promises to provide that denied by PPP and Granger.

Thus, the painful culmination manifested in this election, is of a PNC dwindled base, explanatory to Granger’s egocentric decision to serve God, through his people. As a result, PNC facing many years to regain their supporters’ confidence, are certain to endure relegation over incalculable election cycles, since ladened they will be in the foreseeable future, with this political burden: Godly Granger’s Goadee.
