The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) is pleased to announce that the Festival City Polyclinic’s Online Patient Booking feature officially went live yesterday morning, August 20, 2025.

This marks the first phase of the rollout of eHEALTH, Guyana’s National Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, spearheaded by the Ministry of Health. The Festival City Polyclinic has been selected as the pilot site for this landmark initiative, which represents a major leap forward in healthcare innovation.

During this initial phase, patients of the Festival City Polyclinic can now conveniently schedule appointments and services remotely via computer or mobile phone. Please note that the booking site is only accessible within Guyana.

This milestone signals the start of a broader national transformation that will gradually shift paper-based patient records into secure, electronic records, ensuring improved availability, quality, and confidentiality of health information.

Benefits of eHEALTH include:

  • Faster, safer, and more coordinated patient care
  • Reduced waiting times at health facilities
  • Increased public trust in the secure handling of medical information

Festival City Polyclinic, located at 1934 Blue Mountain & Aubrey Barker Road, Festival City, Georgetown, is one of four primary healthcare facilities managed by the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. The facility offers a wide range of services, including:

  • Adult Vaccinations
  • Asthma & COPD Clinic
  • Counselling Services
  • Family Planning
  • General Wellness
  • STI Testing
  • Dental Services

How It Works

Residents within the Festival City catchment area are encouraged to scan the QR code provided by the facility to access the online booking platform. Appointments booked through the platform will be prioritized, helping patients avoid unnecessary waiting times. While walk-in services will continue to be available, they will be accommodated based on slot availability.

For primary healthcare needs, members of the public are reminded to visit their nearest healthcare facility in their area. Patients within the Festival City Polyclinic service area are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this new system.

Members of the public who wish to learn more can visit the Polyclinic directly or call (592) 218-1001.

This initiative is part of the Ministry if Health’s broader vision to integrate modern technology into public health care services, strengthening patient experiences and enhancing the overall efficiency of service delivery.
