Superbet Clerk robbed at Patentia

A Superbet Clerk of Belle West, West Bank Demerara (WBD) was robbed of $162, 700 as she was securing the premises Saturday night.

According to reports, the victim, Shakule Khan was securing the Superbet location at about 18:45h at First Street, Patentia, WBD when an unidentifiable man approached her saying “Don’t move!”.

Police in a statement said the man grabbed Khan’s black shoulder bag which contained the money belonging to the owner of the business and then made good his escape on foot in a northern direction.

Police was notified but checks for the suspect were unsuccessful.

Investigations are ongoing.
