The Taurus Pistol and matching rounds

A 26-year-old man of Haslington, East Coast Demerara (ECD) has been arrested after being found with a Taurus Pistol and matching ammunition at Tiger Creek, Puruni.

According to Police, the man was found with a silver 3.2 Taurus pistol with its serial number removed, along with two matching rounds of ammunition in his haversack during a search done at Tiger Creek, Puruni Road, Puruni River.
The man has been identified and remains in custody assisting with investigations.
