It’s the first time I’ve written to a newspaper in the decades since I migrated and I have questions.
Forthwith, why only one person’s DNA sent to Mount Sinai for testing alongside Adrianna? Who made that decision and why exclude others on the scene in the hotel? Why exclude the police officer with wet garments or any other officer named at scene or hotel staff for that matter. Why is it already narrowed down to one person? Did the owner volunteer to have his DNA samples taken, or winked proverbially in that direction, knowing it will come back negative?
Since, the police has fabricated the majority of the circumstantial evidence so far, how can we verify if it’s actually the owner’s DNA arriving at the testing unit, since he cannot travel to personally have it done? Barred by immigration from travelling, may be doing him a favor, can he/they not be escorted to Brazil on a one-day trip to facilitate this testing?
Suppose he’s purposely or wrongfully singled out to divert attention again and how do we know it’s not a delegated act? For then, the results would be negative but still does not dissolve culpability? If you come back to people with a negative result, it may begin to sow doubt in the minds of the masses because first, it seems the autopsy clears all of foul play (not exactly), now a compounded negative DNA match will further cement doubt.
Are the detectives intelligent enough to recognize when and if they are being baited and manipulated by someone else’s intellect? What if the culprits are in the background directing the next steps and guiding the detectives and masses towards a specific response?
Why was this the immediate next step in the investigation? If it comes back negative, it may be genuine but it may also mean that the investigation is invisibly guided, to align with a specific and misleading narrative. The police have already undermined a genuine account of events, so it is not out of the realm.
Furthermore, who are the detectives working on the case and why hasn’t there been a press conference by the GPF, telling us who is in charge of the investigation and where they are currently, without divulging intricate details.
Furthermore, how did the body decompose so rapidly? Which funeral home was it initially taken to and was it up to par/the storage? So many questions? Was there a smell or visible signs when the relatives retrieved her? Possibly not, as it was under 24hours? The decomposition happened rapidly in the funeral home. The relatives and neighbors kept watch outside the hotel, why must they be in the funeral home?
If I were in Guyana, I would have called the relatives to inform them of how meticulous they have to be with every step and detail from discovery to burial. In times like these, I feel awfully guilty to be part of the professional class that emigrated. Guyana has intelligent people but she’s not the same, she’s a grieving mother missing more than half her brood and we know that many hands make lighter work.
Finally, while I admire young Wade, in cases like these, you need a battery of lawyers not singular.
