According to deceased’s younger brother Mahadeo Jattan, Sukhoo, attempted to turn into a street when the accident occurred. Eye witnesses said that the rider of the CBR was proceeding in an opposite direction from Sukhoo when the collision occurred. The father of four was tossed from his motorcycle for about 30 feet unto a parapet.

“When I go out on the road to put him in the car and take him to the hospital, he done dead. The bike overtake a car and knock he down and pitch like about 30 feet away,” Jattan told Village Voice News. He explained that his brother had left his home to have a mechanic fix a faulty exhaust on the motorcycle. It was on his way home that he lost his life.

“Is a dead brother I pick up and put in my car. I wan justice for my brother because this is not an easy thing to go through. We were very close and my brother don’t ride his motorcycle speed,” a grieving Jattan said.

He told Village Voice News that while he was at the New Amsterdam Hospital, he attempted to speak with the rider of the CBR motorcycle.
“I ask him how he hit the man and what exactly happen and he watching and playing like he dumb, like he mad. He not saying anything. He get a little injury and I hope the system gives us justice,” Jattan said.

Sukhoo, a former employer of Roopnarine Sawmill, was described by relatives and friends as very quiet and easy-going.

The rider of the CBR motorcycle is being treated for his injuries at the New Amsterdam Hospital.
Police are investigating the accident.
