Dear Editor,

Something they say is wrong in the State of Denmark. Replace Denmark with Guyana.

MV BARIMA: THE TEST OF OUR GOVERNMENT’S CREDIBILITY by HON. ALBERT BALDEO

At the risk of being tedious, I seek through the independent media, answers put by a simple person to our Government. One, how many new generating units we’ve purchased over the last twelve months including this Turkish Ship and what is the total cost?

You see our Alpha and Omega Vice President, yesterday Thursday June 13, 2024 announced  that they are going to Parliament for a supplementary of $66M for the electricity sector. How much has been pumped into this badly politically managed GPL. All I can note is that last evening in the area where I live, Lodge Housing Scheme there was a power outage which lasted from 6:30 to minutes before 9:00 p.m. The few who had generators had to purchase diesel fuel today. Others, the majority, had to suffer inconvenience and irritation.

So what really is going on?

Yours truly,

Hamilton Green

Elder
