I have just read the report dealing with the arrest of Azruddin Mohamed, Leader of the Opposition. I held my peace until the sorry sequence of events, as reported in the independent media, was confirmed by someone who was present.
Citizens and editor, have we drifted into the murky dungeon of the Gestapo under Hitler and a police state? Citizens, irrespective of your political or religious beliefs, we must stand up against this atrocity; that is all I say for now.
