This August, Book A Ride celebrates its fourth anniversary, marking four years of transforming travel in Guyana, creating employment, supporting local businesses, and proving that local innovation can compete with global platforms.
Founded in 2022 by CEO Ken Deocharran after experiencing the frustrations of inconsistent transportation services, Book A Ride has grown from a simple ride hailing app into a complete mobility platform trusted by thousands of passengers and, increasingly, by businesses across Guyana. Over the past four years, the company has connected more than 21,000 registered users, facilitated over 174,000 completed rides, and logged more than 21 million miles throughout the country, powering everyday journeys to work, school, appointments, and airports.

While Book A Ride is best known for its consumer ride hailing service, the company has also built a suite of business focused offerings for organisations that need dependable transportation at scale.
Through its Corporate Transportation Solutions, businesses can manage employee transportation through a dedicated corporate portal, giving HR and operations teams visibility over staff pickups, drop offs, and reporting. For organisations with higher volume or more specialised needs, Book A Ride also offers dedicated transportation services, with assigned vehicles and drivers for recurring routes and shift schedules, giving companies the reliability of an in-house fleet without the overhead of managing one.

Behind every ride is a driver who has gone through a thorough vetting process, along with training in defensive driving and basic first aid.
