The Rotary Club of Georgetown Central (RCGC) is once again calling on the generosity of the Guyanese public to support its Annual Backpack Drive, an initiative aimed at ensuring children from vulnerable families are equipped with the essential school supplies they need to begin the new academic term with confidence.
Under the theme,
“Ready! Set! Learn!”,
the project seeks to provide fully stocked backpacks to students who may otherwise face challenges accessing basic educational materials.
For just GYD $6,000, individuals, businesses, and organizations can sponsor one complete backpack filled with school essentials.
Every contribution, regardless of size, will directly assist children in preparing for the September 2026 school term.
How to Donate via MMG
1. Pay Bills
2. Select Rotary Club of Georgetown Central
3. Choose Project Contributions
4. Enter your full name
5. Project Name: Ready Set Learn
6. Enter your donation amount (GYD $6,000 sponsors one backpack, or donate any amount you can afford)
The Club also welcomes sponsorships from businesses and organizations wishing to support the initiative or contribute school supplies.

Every child deserves the opportunity to start the school year prepared.
Together, we can help build confidence, inspire futures, and strengthen our community by ensuring that no child is left behind because of a lack of school supplies.
