Guyana’s Ebo McNeil has secured our first athletics medal at the South American Youth Games!
Guyana’s rising middle-distance athlete, Ebo McNeil, delivered a commendable performance to secure Guyana’s first athletics medal at the South American Youth Games.
Competing in the Boys’ Under-20 1500m event, McNeil clocked a time of 4:07.03 to earn the bronze medal, showcasing determination and resilience on the regional stage
He finished behind Peru’s Thiago Carnero Goyzueta, who took gold in 4:01.86, and Ecuador’s Leymer Pacheco Ban, who secured silver in 4:03.46.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Guyana’s athletics programme and highlights the continued rise of the nation’s young sporting talent.
Let’s salute Ebo’s outstanding performance and determination on the regional stage!
