Beyond the beautiful analysis in KN editorial I recall when I first learnt of this proposed project, I sent messages to the government and also wrote a letter, I can not recall if it was published, stating that my experience in dealing with Suriname was; that they believed that the Corentyne River is theirs from the high watermark. This belief is one that generations of Surinamese believe to be the case. In such circumstances Guyana, as has been so well noted in the Editorial, we must proceed with caution if at all.

Yours truly,
Elder Hamilton Green
