International recording artist Juke Ross is set to premiere the official music video for his latest single, “Coffee Love,” in early April, in a production that spotlights Georgetown while signalling new momentum for Guyana’s emerging film industry.
In a statement issued Saturday, it was announced that the video—directed by award-winning Guyanese-American filmmaker Mason Richards—will debut on major streaming platforms during the first week of April 2026. Ross, the Guyanese-born singer-songwriter, was recently praised by Rolling Stone for his “aching” and “soulful” sound.
Filmed entirely on location in Georgetown, the production features a blend of the city’s historic and contemporary landscapes, including the Herdmanston Lodge Hotel in Queenstown and sections of the Tiger Bay district. The release describes the project as “a vibrant visual love letter to Guyana’s capital,” capturing both its elegance and raw authenticity.
The collaboration also brought together local and diaspora talent, with support from businessman Clinton Urling of German’s Restaurant and local recording artist Timeka Marshall.

Beyond its artistic scope, the project marks a milestone for the local creative sector as the first official production of The A.M. Creative Agency Guyana, founded by Richards as an extension of his U.S.-based company. The production doubled as a training ground for local videographers, who worked alongside Richards in a hands-on capacity.
As part of the initiative, Richards is also launching The AM Creative Academy, aimed at equipping Guyanese creatives with technical skills in writing, directing and production design, while creating pathways for employment within the agency.
“This video is more than a visual; it’s a showcase of what happens when the Guyanese diaspora and local talent unite,” Richards said. “Working with Juke again on the upcoming feature will allow us to deepen this tribute to our home.”

The partnership between Ross and Richards is expected to continue with the upcoming feature film “Beyond the Seawall,” now in development. The film will star acclaimed actress CCH Pounder alongside U.S.-based actor Joseph David-Jones, with Ross set to produce the original soundtrack. Filming is expected to begin in Guyana later this year.
Richards previously directed The Seawall, widely recognised as Guyana’s first film to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
The “Coffee Love” music video will be released on Vevo, iTunes and YouTube, with an accompanying EP slated for distribution across major streaming platforms.
