Today, she balances multiple roles, working professionally as a Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Officer, running her business, and pursuing her studies at the University of Guyana.

Like many young entrepreneurs, Ashley faces the challenge of balancing her responsibilities. Managing life as a university student, a full-time employee, and a business owner often requires careful time management. There are times when she has to temporarily step away from crocheting to focus on her studies or professional duties.

Despite these challenges, her passion for the craft continues to drive her forward.

“Crocheting is something I genuinely enjoy,” Ashley said. “Every chain I weave reminds me why I started.”

She also encourages other young people who dream of starting their own businesses to follow their passions.

“My advice to young entrepreneurs is to pursue something you truly love,” she explained. “When you enjoy what you do, it no longer feels like just a job but becomes a peaceful escape from everyday pressures. Stay consistent, believe in your abilities, and don’t be afraid to grow and improve.”

As her business continues to grow, Ashley remains committed to developing her craft and inspiring others to transform their passions into opportunities. Her story stands as a reminder that even a simple hobby can blossom into a thriving venture with dedication, creativity, and support.
