Paris Fashion Week Welcomes New Brand Blu Saki Designs That Empower

Paris Fashion Week came alive this week as designers from around the world gathered to  showcase their latest collections. Alongside iconic and established fashion houses,  emerging brands also took center stage, bringing fresh perspectives and creativity to the  global fashion scene. 

Among the new brands featured was Blu Saki, a Caribbean label specializing in women’s  and men’s resort wear as well as home accents. Doors NYC provides a physical and digital  gateway for the new generation of fashion. headed by Alise Trautmane Uzuner

The brand including the fabrics are designed by Supriya Singh Bodden, who is also the  Founder of the Guyana Foundation, a charitable trust that provides empowerment and  skills training through its Sunrise Centers. 

Blu Saki’s fabrics reflect the beauty, vibrancy, and rich colors of Caribbean including the  Cayman Islands. The materials used are made from fiber that is 100 percent biodegradable  and compostable, making the brand inherently eco-friendly.

Beyond fashion, Blu Saki is committed to social impact. A portion of the brand’s revenue  supports empowerment training programs in Guyana and other Caribbean countries. The brand operates a flagship retail store in the Cayman Islands, and its collections are sold  wholesale to vendors around the world.
