On behalf of the Board, our members, and Secretariat of the British Chamber of Commerce Guyana,Â
I extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Pamela O’Toole, Liam, the entire O’Toole family, and the wider community touched by the life and work of Dr. Brian O’Toole.
Dr. O’Toole was a remarkable educator, visionary leader, and a man of profound integrity. His lifelong dedication to education, service to humanity, and unwavering commitment to the development of Guyana have left an indelible mark on our nation and on generations of students, colleagues, and friends.
Through his leadership at the School of the Nations and Nations University, Dr. O’Toole helped shape minds, character, and values, championing excellence, inclusivity, and service. He was widely respected for his kindness, humility, sense of humour, and his deep faith, which guided his work and relationships throughout his life.
Guyana has lost a true servant-leader, mentor, and builder of institutions. His legacy will endure through the lives he touched and the principles he stood for.
We join in honouring his memory and extend our thoughts and prayers to his family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the knowledge that his life’s work has left a lasting and meaningful legacy.
