The Alliance For Change (AFC) has extended Christmas greetings to Guyanese at home and in the diaspora, using the occasion to urge reflection, unity, and a renewed commitment to national values.

In its Christmas message, the AFC said the season is one of “reflection, compassion, and renewal,” reminding citizens of “the enduring values of love, sacrifice, humility, and service to one another,” which it noted are deeply rooted in Guyana’s diverse cultural and religious traditions.

The party said that in a “richly plural” society such as Guyana, Christmas provides an opportunity to reaffirm commitments to “mutual respect, understanding, and national unity.” According to the AFC, the season also calls for a careful assessment of “the state of our nation, the wellbeing of our families and communities, and the responsibility we all share to care for the most vulnerable among us.”

The statement said Christmas is a time “to reach out, to listen, and to act with kindness and empathy,” particularly toward those facing hardship.

Reiterating its political stance, the AFC said it remains committed to “the principles of integrity, accountability, and inclusive development,” adding that Guyana’s “greatest strength lies in its people.” The party said it believes that “only through fairness, justice, and genuine collaboration can we build a country that offers dignity and opportunity for all.”

The AFC concluded by expressing the hope that the Christmas season will bring “peace to our homes, hope to our hearts, and renewed determination to work together for a better Guyana,” and wished all Guyanese “a holy, peaceful, and joyful Christmas.”

A Christmas Message from the Alliance For Change

As the Christmas season comes upon us, the Alliance For Change extends warmest greetings to all Guyanese at home and in the diaspora.

Christmas is a time of reflection, compassion, and renewal. It reminds us of the enduring values of love, sacrifice, humility, and service to one another—values that are deeply rooted in our diverse cultural and religious traditions as a people.

In a country as richly plural as Guyana, Christmas also offers an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to mutual respect, understanding, and national unity.

This season invites us to pause and consider the state of our nation, the wellbeing of our families and communities, and the responsibility we all share to care for the most vulnerable among us. It is a time to reach out, to listen, and to act with kindness and empathy.

The Alliance For Change remains committed to the principles of integrity, accountability, and inclusive development. We believe that Guyana’s greatest strength lies in its people, and that only through fairness, justice, and genuine collaboration can we build a country that offers dignity and opportunity for all.

May this Christmas bring peace to our homes, hope to our hearts, and renewed determination to work together for a better Guyana.
On behalf of the Alliance For Change, we wish you a holy, peaceful, and joyful Christmas.
