Dear Editor,

I would dare the current Government of Guyana to swear in the new main opposition party. Since the new main opposition party’s leader and elements in the PPP Government are allegedly linked to the drug cartels and compromised by allegedly facilitating various transnational crimes, including extrajudicial killings and drug runnings, terrorism funding of the certain family members sanctioned and indicted by the U.S. government.

The Cost of Raising “Tough” Boys and Ignoring Their Real Needs

It is well known that elements in the government and the U.S. sanctioned, U.S. indicted family duo were allegedly closely intertwined in the financing and operation of phantom and death squads, extrajudicial killings, political funding networks, and in their connections to drug cartels and money-laundering activities. It is further alleged that there are elements in the government who knowingly allowed the duo to continue their transnational criminal enterprise with Middle Eastern groups and to benefit from the financial channels those relationships generated.

The swearing in of the new main opposition party with a U.S. Government sanctioned and U.S. Government indicted leader wouldn’t be just about a power transition to include another new opposition party. It would be a public spectacle that exposes the entire system. A system that embraced the drug cartels, transnational criminal syndicates, middle eastern groups and entrenched suppression of human rights through extra judicial killings using death and phantom squads operated by elements in. the government with support and funding by the cartels.

CONSEQUENCES OF SWEARING IN THE NEW OPPOSITION LEADER

By officially bringing the new main opposition party allegedly with ties to the cartels and Middle East groups into government, the ruling government with allegedly ongoing and previous links to the cartels themselves essentially:

  • Makes the criminal nature of the Guyana public and undeniable. Citizens and the international community can no longer pretend the government is legitimate without significant links to cartels.
  • Invites scrutiny by various media, watchdogs, and foreign powers can’t ignore the blatant narco state reality, having a government and new main opposition party allegedly with significant ties to the cartels.
  • Swearing in the opposition is a performative act of governance. It’s like saying: “We are now officially all allegedly linked to the cartels and syndicates.”

This act would naturally invite several immediate concerns:

  • Domestic skepticism: Civil society  may become more suspicious, noticing and confirming both factions being allegedly linked to cartels.
  • International scrutiny: Other nations or organizations might impose sanctions, intervene diplomatically, or investigate the government and new main opposition links to various transnational syndicates.
  • Increased Cartel Reach: The cartels, may feel their power is being increased with more access throughout the government to increase their transnational crimes. Since the new main opposition party is linked to the government and supposedly the cartels.

ANIMAL FARM DRIPPINGS

This moment mirrors the core theme of Animal Farm: struggle for equality consuming itself. In Orwell:

  • The pigs eventually become indistinguishable from the humans they replaced.
  • In this case, the government cartel welcoming its opposition cartel is the ultimate visual symbol of cyclical corruption: the “opposition” isn’t opposition at all; it’s part of the same oppressive structure.

Think of it as a ceremony of irony, where the public is invited to witness the consolidation of power under the guise of change. Orwell would probably depict this scene as both absurd and chilling.

Animal Farm would show the following:

  • Erosion of citizen trust: Civil Society may start doubting the legitimacy of all governance.
  • Benefits for the cartels and syndicates: Laws, policies, and institutions may be rewritten or hindered to protect cartel interests openly.
  • Increased power centralization: With all major factions under state control, corruption becomes systemic, no checks, no balances and fraying of the rule of law.
  • Vulnerabilities: This act could set the stage for an increased in transnational crime and Guyana being a staging ground for terrorism and other acts to compromise western security, especially North America. Due mainly to direct flights from Guyana to North America.

CONSEQUENCES OF REFUSAL TO SWEAR IN THE NEW OPPOSITION LEADER

Refusing to swear in the new main opposition leader (allowing him to function as the new main opposition leader)  with alleged links to the cartel, Middle Eastern groups and connected to extrajudicial killings triggers several possible outcomes:

Heightened Tension and Fear

  • Citizens may notice the government is suppressing rivals, deepening mistrust.
  • Lower-level actors’ linkages in both cartels influenced political structures to become paranoid, and loyalty is tested.

Propaganda and Scapegoating

  • The government influenced cartel can demonise the opposition: “They wanted chaos, they wanted the nation weakened.”
  • Orwell-style doublespeak could be used: “Refusal to swear in the opposition leads to instability for the people.”

Opposition as a Shadow Threat

  • The opposition with cartel links is likely to cause harm, like Snowball scheming in exile.
  • Their presence still affects policy, alliances, and show the corruption dynamics.

Crisis of Legitimacy

  • By not swearing them in, the government avoids immediate scrutiny but the illusion of poor democratic or political chaos  is obvious
  • Citizens see that even the “political process” is just a façade due the exclusion of the new main opposition leader with alleged links to extrajudicial killings, cartels, middle eastern links and other crimes.

INITIAL VICTIMS OF THE KILLING SPREE

We must never forget the victims of the death, phantom squads, extrajudicial killings and unexplained deaths over the years in Guyana. Also, the various businesses and businessmen who allegedly funded, participated and facilitated the killing spree. None have been held accountable for their actions over the years. These killings and actions were ignored and now they have led us to the crisis today in Guyana. A new main political party with its leader indicted for transnational crimes and sanctioned by the U.S. Government.

Most Guyanese only remember the key names like Courtney Crum-Ewing, Ronald Waddell, Ricardo Fagundes, also known as “Paper Shorts” and Minister Satyadeo Sawh and have forgotten the countless other victims. Our nation will be forever be cursed until we account for these lives lost and can move on as a nation. No amount of oil wealth and big buildings can cleanse us from these past killings unless the nation hold those accountable and there is healing. One of the biggest failures of the Granger administration are these countless extrajudicial killings they promised to investigate and hold persons accountable and never did. I am aware the Ricardo Fagundes and  paper shorts killing did not occur before the Granger administration, but many more were killed and are not on the list below. An updated and comprehensive list will follow.

Here is a Partial List of Citizens allegedly shot to death; otherwise unlawfully killed and other instances of extra-judicial killing, execution or assassination by the Death Squads, Phantom Squads and various groups linked to various elements in the government, the cartels and others:

Summary

Guyana’s strategic and economic position makes it susceptible to criminalized governance should the U.S. indicted and U.S. sanctioned duo become involved as the main political opposition party in the governance of Guyana. Drawing parallels to Orwell’s Animal Farm highlights the mechanisms through which elite capture, propaganda, coercion, and opportunism can erode democratic institutions. We will now understand the risks and dangers associated with institutional capture by criminal syndicates, targeting years of resource wealth, and their transnational criminal influence. Often coming through years of ignoring transnational criminality, extrajudicial killings and other crimes.

In closing, all the information contained herein are allegations. Since there have been no convictions for most of the activities mentioned and referenced through the sources shown below.

Animal Farm is a great read for those of you who have never read the book. There are several animated versions of the Animal Farm as movies for free viewing on YouTube. All the animated versions of Animal Farm on YouTube are quite enlightening, informative, educational and revealing.
