A social media post has highlighted an act of kindness by an immigration officer at the Passport and Immigration Office on Camp Street, Georgetown.

According to eyewitness Farook Juman, a female officer identified as W25750 Layne stepped in to assist a mother who was struggling to complete her transaction while holding her baby. Juman said Officer Layne quietly took the infant and cared for the child so the mother could focus on processing her application.

He described the gesture as “an act of generosity and humility” and “a great reflection of good upbringing,” noting that the officer was not seeking attention or reward. Juman publicly commended Officer Layne and called on others in law enforcement to follow her example, adding that her actions show “there are indeed good cops out there.”
