Beyond the spotlight, Richmond has distinguished herself as a young leader deeply engaged in community service. She often emphasizes that “volunteering is a mission, not a hobby,” a principle that has guided her involvement in numerous civic and youth empowerment initiatives. Arian also founded Youth Development Guyana, an NGO that hotsts a 1-week camp every August aimed at promoting STEM, public speaking and other soft skills.

In November 2017, she was presented with the National Youth Award of Service in recognition of her efforts to promote women and girls in education and entrepreneurship. Her leadership journey also includes outstanding achievements in public speaking and debating, having won both the Youth Parliament Debate (Opposition Winner) in March 2016 and the JOF Haynes Debating Competition in December 2016.

Guyana’s Historic Participation in Miss Friendship International

Richmond is set to mark a significant milestone in Guyana’s pageant history as the country’s first representative at the Miss Friendship International Pageant in China. The event is renowned for promoting international goodwill, cultural exchange, and unity among nations.

Guyana’s participation for the first time in this prestigious global event represents a moment of national pride. Delegates from around the world will visit several cities in China, engaging in cultural immersion and ambassadorial activities designed to strengthen mutual understanding among nations. Richmond’s representation symbolizes Guyana’s growing presence on the world stage and highlights the strength of its young ambassadors.

Outside her professional and philanthropic pursuits, Richmond maintains a love for adventure and personal growth. She enjoys hiking and exploring challenging terrains, singing as a creative outlet, and reading as a means of continuous learning and reflection.

From her early days in Bartica to her emergence as an international representative, Arian Dahlia Richmond has consistently demonstrated that success is rooted in service, discipline, and integrity. Her story stands as an inspiration to young Guyanese, particularly women, who aspire to pursue excellence while giving back to their communities.

As Guyana looks ahead to its debut at Miss Friendship International, Richmond carries with her not only the nation’s colours but also its hopes and aspirations — a true testament to the power of perseverance, purpose, and patriotism.
