The Ethnic Relations Commission (ERC) in a statement announced that it has successfully completed its observation of  the Disciplined Services voting, held on August 22, 2025, in advance of the upcoming General and Regional  Elections scheduled for September 1, 2025.

These observers reportedly monitored polling stations where members of the Guyana  Police Force, Guyana Defence Force, and Guyana Prison Service exercised their right to vote.
