With the September elections, and its frightening implications closing in on PPP, they in a state best described as despairing desperation, have set forth on a campaign of national deception. Which means, in furtherance of this deception, they having brushed aside the distressing matter of poverty for some 28yrs, are belatedly framing policies on the longstanding issue.

However, with this proving a predictable failure, they were forced to bolster their Deceiver Team, bringing on board Dr. Carpen, one who registers extensive experience in deception, having phenomenally misrepresented himself as an interventional cardiologist, for countless years. And Dr. Carpen was at it almost immediately, drawing on his unmatched expertise, in misrepresenting PPP disastrous healthcare as standing far above those of the Caribbean, America and Canada.

However, Robeson Benn being no compeer to the venerable Dr. Carpen, was effortlessly exposed, as he stood alone unbelievably shocked with the uninhabitable conditions in the lockups. In fact, his hilarious pretence was deserving of emphatic mockery, since having already expressed such naked deceit, we anticipated some reflection before opening himself to further public ridicule.

But this wasn’t the case, as the creature of PPP, who gets orgasmic gratification from watching conflagrations, feigned overwhelming distress on seeing incarcerated women asleep, on the winter cold concrete floor. And rather than explain his apparent 3am voyeurism, peeping at women asleep in their cells, the shameless token chose to voice more hogwash, that PPP inherited these deplorable conditions. Then, having burdened us with more than enough hogwash to last ten lifetimes, the peeping token, clearly high on foolery, was to now contend, vote PPP and lockups will be Ritz-Carlton welcoming again.

But having reflected on Robeson Benn’s naked disinformation, we do recall PPP tenure being characterised by human rights abuses, where unlawful detentions were the rule. In fact, even as we deliberated on the many denied their liberty, our recollection is of their painful and consistent reports of lockups being most degrading.

And one such was Mark Benschop, who in publicly narrating his experience, described it as most undignifying, where sleeping on the winter cold concrete floor, in proximity to human excrement, being the norm. Moreover, Mark further informed, the dastard Freddie Kissoon sharing a cell was so traumatised, he inseparably clung to him, like a preschooler at his first day of nursery.

That said, with the anecdotal evidence painting a tragic picture of our lockups, the UN Human Rights Committee report of 2024, has more than validated the very concerning testimonies. For this damning report, chronicled the prisons barbaric conditions, vis-à-vis severe overcrowding, insanitary surroundings, physical abuses, inaccessible medical care, absence of potable water, compounded by lack of transparency, accountability, and independence of the body mandated to inspect prisons and investigate prisoners’ complaints.

Moreover, the US State Department reports of 2020 and 2023, mirroring similar inhumane findings in our prisons, also illuminated pervasive arbitrary arrests, unlawful incarcerations, lengthy pretrial detentions and denial of fair public trial.

Thus, it’s in this context, with the evidence exposing PPP campaign of national deception, that we scrutinise the party’s relationship with the electorate, to further lay-bare the depth of their depravity. For this relationship, undeniably an American arranged forced marriage, is characterised by daily beatings, slavish exploitations and brutal rapes. However, having endured decades of remorseless abuses, physical, financial and psychological, saw us pursuing legal separation, to ultimately divorce.

And recognising the implications of this imminent September 1st divorce, they’re now expressing concerns on the dehumanising lockup conditions, our decades of suffocating poverty, among others. But we shall not fall for their desperate attempts at make up: delivering roses packaged in police promotions, apologetic Läderach Swiss chocolates gifted as Because We Care, romantic getaways enclosing Cash Grants, nor any other seductive niceties. In fact, come September 1st, on signing our divorce documents, we shall hold this brutal regime accountable for the savage gang raping of our resources, systemic abuses of the citizenry, coercive control of our institutions et al.
