Dear Editor, 

Ahead of the much anticipated nominations day on Monday, 14th July, the United Workers Party urges peace, respect, and calm during the submission process of the list of candidates for each contesting political party.

The UWP is calling on all supporters and candidates to show respect for each other’s right to their own political persuasion and freedom of choice in our democracy.

Presidential and prime ministerial candidates, the UWP urged respect to be shown by all participating during this regional and general elections process.

To the supporters and candidates of all political parties contesting, let us all show love, appreciation, and respect for each other and be peaceful during the above-mentioned process.
