Against the backdrop of a rapidly expanding economy,  more than 100 local entrepreneurs, executives, and team leaders joined the 40th session of  GrowthCLUB, the quarterly planning forum hosted by ActionCOACH Guyana.

The recently held one-day forum provided necessary guidance to help participants build out a  90-day action plan rooted in clarity, structure, and accountability. The message was clear:  planning is essential, not optional. And, with structured tools, accountability frameworks, and  a strong support network, businesses are better positioned to succeed.

Dr. Vishnu Doerga, Founder of ActionCOACH Guyana, said the session reinforced several key  lessons.

“GrowthCLUB is more than a workshop, it’s a discipline. In this economy, you either drive the  opportunity or get left behind. The entrepreneurs who are showing up each quarter are actively  shaping their businesses to meet the moment. And, this year, given the great demand, we had  to shift from hosting it in our conference rooms to the Pegasus Exhibition Centre,” he said.

Now in its 10th year, this GrowthCLUB session was the largest one for the organiser.

With the support of sponsors such as Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI), One  Communications, NSBOmega Guyana Inc., Fusion Hospitality and Dave’s Promotional  Products, the training was made accessible to more attendees.

GBTI’s CEO, Shawn Gurcharran lauded the training, noting that, “GrowthCLUB has once  again shown that structured, quarterly planning is not merely a business exercise, it’s a  blueprint for capitalising on our thriving economy. At GBTI, we’re proud to encourage  businesses to think ahead and map out their path. Through strategic financing solutions, we’ll  continue to support enterprises in turning those plans into performance.”

Hilton Wong, General Manager of Brava, the business services arm of One Communications,  highlighted the importance of supporting the local business sector.

“Guyana’s private sector must scale with speed and stability, and we see our role as a partner  enabling smarter, faster business. Our services ensure that companies here have the digital  infrastructure to execute their strategies efficiently, effectively and securely,” he said.

Safia Ally, HR Manager of NSBOmega Guyana Inc., added that better business planning means  better workforce management.

“One consistent theme we hear from clients is that better human resource planning leads to  fewer disruptions. GrowthCLUB delivers that planning, and NSBOmega is proud to provide  recruiting and staffing services to help businesses execute those plans effici ently and  seamlessly.”

Dr Doerga said the feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, with  individuals rating the speakers, workshop content, and overall experience above 4.5 out of 5  across all key areas. Many praised the forum’s clarity, structure, and immediate applicability to the business challenges they face. Some participants also noted that the GrowthCLUB

sessions provided the relevant tools for reflection and recalibration in the midst of day-to-day  operations.

Representatives from companies such as Floor It, Caribbean Medical Supplies, Guyana Port  Inc., Target Customs Brokerage, ELGAWA Guyana and Heliwrench Maintenance Solutions  Inc. were among those who participated.

The event’s momentum will carry into the next GrowthCLUB already scheduled for September  27, 2025.
