Global Times – The Chinese Embassy in Israel had assisted 155 enterprise staff, Chinese students, tourists, and temporary business travelers in evacuation as of 24:00 local time on Wednesday. On Thursday, the Chinese Embassy in Israel coordinated with the Chinese Embassy in Egypt to continue the organized evacuation of 117 students from Chinese mainland and two from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Israel.

Considering factors such as the current situation, route safety, customs clearance convenience, and sufficient flight tickets, the Chinese Embassy in Israel will assist Chinese citizens who wish to evacuate to leave Israel in batches from June 20, likely via the Taba Border Crossing (located at the Israel-Egypt border) by bus, the embassy told the Global Times on Thursday, adding that registration is now underway,

As of now, except for one Chinese worker who suffered a minor bruise, no reports of casualties among Chinese citizens have been received, said the embassy.

The embassy premises and personnel are all safe. Currently, the Israel-Iran conflict continues to escalate, and the security situation is complex and severe. The Chinese Embassy in Israel will continue to make all-out efforts to do a good job in the safety protection of Chinese citizens in Israel, the embassy said.

The embassy also noted that the central government attaches great importance to and always cares about the safety of overseas personnel and institutions. After the outbreak of the Israel-Iran conflict, the Chinese Embassy in Israel immediately activated the consular protection emergency response mechanism, requiring the Israeli side to earnestly ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions.

It promptly issued relevant reminders and guidelines, maintained continuous close contact with Chinese citizens and institutions in Israel, guided them to take safety precautions and take emergency shelter, and actively provided assistance for the evacuation of Chinese citizens.
