It was Winston Churchill, unarguably Britain’s most renowned wartime Prime Minister, who in a 1939 radio speech, coined the phrase, “It’s a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.” And pertaining to this most convoluted of expressions, the historical consensus is, Prime Minister Churchill was making reference to a situation he found excruciatingly difficult to understand.

In fact, the situation Sir Winston was struggling to understand, was centred around the perennial problem of Russia, in his analysis of the early events of WWII. However, despite this enigmatic expression has been registered for nearly a century, its relevance and application remain pertinent today, in the 21st century.

And such an application, of a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma, stands painfully relevant in our 83000sq miles, in the highly suspicious death of Adrianna Younge. For this is beyond any disputation, Adrianna’s grandmother indulged her in a well deserved post-NGSA day out, of swimming and other frolicking activities, at the Double Day hotel.

And it was at some point during their vociferous merriment, on or around 13:30hrs, that Adrianna who was all the while present in the swimming pool, went missing. As a result, with the 11yr old Adrianna reported missing, the intelligent and rational assumption is, the swimming pool would’ve been first to search. However, considering Adrianna stood over 4ft, she would, unlike a needle in a haystack, be of great visibility in the sky-blue transparent pool.

In fact, even as we examine Adrianna’s enigmatic disappearance from the swimming pool, the reminder is, PPP media operative in Guyanese Cretin, has provided an evidentiary and thorough video recording of the said swimming pool, in which Adrianna was notably absent. Therefore, having scoured the transparent swimming pool for the easily visible Adrianna, with no evidence of her, the rational conclusion was, she is in the hotel.

And it was likely with this concerning thought, Adrianna’s grandmother, some one and a half hour since she went missing, contacted the police. Then, with the police having presented, the assumption is, being made aware of a large body of water, vis-à-vis swimming pool, they would’ve undertaken a thorough search, albeit failing to drain the pool.

Thus, counting the police exploration, we can confidently present at least three pieces of evidence, indisputable it can be argued, that the missing Adrianna wasn’t in the swimming pool. Therefore, armed with this indisputable evidence, the lawmen must have been faced with the painful realisation, Adrianna is in the hotel against her will.

And having been burdened with such a realisation, it has to be assumed, the by now concerned men in uniform, would’ve requested an unimpeded search of the hotel, room by room. However, this they failed to undertake, as the hotel hierarchy most bizarrely dictated to the compliant law enforcement officers, the rooms that were accessible. Then, with the police actions, or lack thereof, becoming more bizarre by the minute, they were through a press release, informed that Adrianna left the hotel in a Toyota Raum of specified registration number, as per viewed CCTV.

However, this press release was soon recognised as unadulterated fabrication, with Adrianna’s grandmother having reviewed said CCTV images, refuting that she left the hotel. Therefore, confronted with such naked fabrication, the aroused suspicion was, collusion existed between the police and hotel hierarchy, with the CCTV narrative designed to distract from concerns, Adrianna was being held in the hotel against her will.

In fact, such suspicion was amplified before our very eyes, as the Double Day hotel, of a mysterious arsonist hand, was allowed to burn, destroying critical evidence. Thus, the conclusion we derive, rooms unsearched, hotel reduced to ashes, even as Adrianna’s body, some 20hrs later, mysteriously appearing in the previously and thoroughly searched pool, representing a Churchillian riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. Or is it?
