The Bar Association of Guyana held its 46th Annual General Meeting on May 30, 2025, via the Zoom online platform, where the new Bar Council for the 2025–2026 fiscal year was elected.

Mr. Kamal Ramkarran was re-elected unopposed as President of the Association, continuing his leadership for another term. Also elected unopposed were Mr. Teni Housty and Mr. Arudranauth Gossai as Vice Presidents.

Ms. Yashmini Singh retained her position as Secretary for a second consecutive term, while Mr. Chevy Devonish was elected as the new Assistant Secretary. Ms. Gabriel Benn, who previously served in that role, was elected unopposed as Treasurer.

The remaining council members, also elected unopposed, are Mr. Robin Stoby, SC, Mr. Keoma D. Griffith, Mr. Horatio Edmondson, Mr. Pratesh Satram, Ms. Rea Harris, and Ms. Mohanie Anganoo.

The election was overseen by Mr. Kashir A. Khan, who served as the Returning Officer.

The newly elected Bar Council will serve until the next annual general meeting in 2026.
