The Alliance For Change extends its deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and community of Adriana Younge. No parent should have to mourn a daughter under such unclear and troubling circumstances. Today, we acknowledge the preliminary report that cites drowning as Adriana’s cause of death. Yet even as that detail comes to light, the larger truth remains elusive.

We therefore renew our call — firmly and unequivocally — for a full, transparent, and independent investigation into the events that led to Adriana’s death. The public deserves clarity. The family deserves justice. And Guyana deserves answers.

But let us also be clear: violence, looting, and lawlessness are not justice. Burning property or blocking roads will not bring peace. It will not honor Adriana’s life. Not in her name.

Adriana Younge was a young woman with dreams and dignity. She should be remembered not for the chaos her death sparked, but for the change her memory can inspire. A better Guyana — a fairer, freer Guyana — must rise from this moment. That begins with truth, accountability, and non-violence.

We urge every citizen to channel their grief into constructive action. Let us demand justice with discipline. Let us stand together — across race, region, and party — to ensure this tragedy is not buried in bureaucracy or politics.

We stand for clean governance, respect for law, and the sanctity of every Guyanese life. In the name of Adriana Younge — not in her name — we will continue to press for full disclosure and accountability.
