Hopes for deal to end Iran war grow, but nuclear issues unresolved

April 1 (Reuters) – The U.S. increase in duties on goods from China is unfounded, is damaging global markets and is damaging Washington’s reputation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in remarks published on Tuesday.
The tariffs will not help the United States solve existing problems, but “will cause serious damage not only to the global market and trade order, but also to the reputation of the States themselves,” Wang told Russia’s RIA state news agency in an interview.
