Liars, Thieves, Murderers, Molesters – The PPP Politicians Are Not Good People

Dear Editor,

It is time we stop pretending that what we are witnessing in Guyana is normal politics. The current PPP regime is not composed of visionaries or public servants working for the common good—they are a band of liars, thieves, murderers, and molesters masquerading as leaders. These are not accusations made lightly, but observations grounded in years of state-enabled corruption, political assassinations, and systemic abuse of power.

GWI’s statement is irresponsible, callous and dangerous – water 630 times safe limit

They lie to the public about oil wealth while their friends get richer. They steal elections with manipulation, contracts through cronyism, and taxpayers’ money through overpriced, no-bid deals. They’ve remained silent or complicit in politically motivated killings like that of Courtney Crum-Ewing, and the public has not forgotten. Whistleblowers are hunted. Activists are persecuted. Their media is toxic and racist. And while the nation suffers, a select few feast.

No decent society should be governed by people who protect predators, reward incompetence, and weaponize the state to silence opposition. The PPP cannot continue to drape itself in the flag while desecrating everything it stands for. Guyana deserves better. And history will remember those who enabled, excused, or ignored these abuses, not as patriots, but as cowards complicit in national betrayal.

Sincerely,
Randy Gopaul
