Time for Change: Aubrey Norton Must Go Now

By Professor Shamir Ally- The Release (below) from Venezuela is not a surprising Response.  Based on what President Maduro told me in Kazakhstan when we met on September 10, 2017, at the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) First Summit on Science and Technology.  WE spoke for around 17 Minutes on a wide range of items.

His Excellency President Maduro, listened to my comments for our Neighbourly good relationships, and responded that HE is very determined and will never give up the BORDER AREA with GUYANA. President Maduro further said it was Guyana and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that were the MAIN obstacles to a JOINT BORDER DEVELOPMENT, to which Venezuela is committed with Dialogue, Discussions and Decisions.

Venezuela has around 65 embassies and 47 consulates in about 68 countries worldwide.  DAILY Venezuelan Ambassadors are meeting and advocating with BINDERS’ EVIDENCE on their side of the BORDER ISSUE.  The Venezuelan President, Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs are very active with THEIR PERSONAL VISITS and RELATIONSHIPS’ MAINTENANCE, to the 56 Nations of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) meetings; Regular VISITS to the 6 VERY RICH Gulf States’ Nations and attendances at the Conferences/Meetings with the 55 Nations of the AFRICAN UNION.

GUYANA has a total of 18 embassies, 5 consulates and 8 other Diplomatic representations in about 25 countries around the world. MANY are WITHOUT Ambassadors.
With Respect, IT IS EVIDENT, the PPP Government and its Ministry of Foreign Affairs is FAILING Miserably to represent Guyana’s ENTIRE Interests, to avoid the recent events at the Border, with Guyana, BEING SURPRISED at the EVENT. Where is the DRONE Monitoring and Surveillances, Helicopters, and Emergency HEALTH Facilities for our BRAVE SOLDIERS, with our over US$6 BILLION Dollars in OIL REVENUES ???.
There exists an URGENT NEED for Guyana to MOBILIZE the OPPOSITION Members of Parliaments, Civil Society,  TRADE UNIONS, CHAMBERS of COMMERCE and ALL the PAST Ambassadors to ASSIST to Present Guyana’s Evidence and CASE to the World, with SITE VISITS or ZOOM Meetings, FAILING WHICH, with Respect “ CAT will eat Guyana’s Dinner.”  A GROSS EMBARRASSMENT.
GEOPOLITICS is in the MIX with Deal Maker USA # 47.  As of 2023, Venezuela had 303 BILLION barrels of PROVEN OIL reserves, the LARGEST in the WORLD.   This accounts for about 17% of the WORLD’S OIL reserves.  Prof Dr. Shamir, KNOWS from the BACK CHANNELS at the USA Republican Senatorial Inner Circle, that many USA OIL Giants are advocating/lobbying DAILY to be able to return to Venezuela’s LUCRATIVE OIL Production.

QUOTE from a PNC/APNU Former Member of Parliament and a Guyana Patriot active with his weekly INFORMATIVE programs with PROBLEMS and SOLUTIONS, He said ” This is TRUE and presents a GRAVE DANGER to Guyana, both at the ECONOMIC level and with respect to its TERRITORIAL SOVEREIGNTY.”
