Dear Editor,

There are very strong speculations of Guyana’s leading philanthropist and business tycoon, Mr. Azzrudin Mohamed may enter the race in the political arena for the up-coming general elections, slated to be held later in this year 2025. Despite not declaring his intention to officially launch his party; and particularly with those who are desperately out to trump up criminal charges against him in their political witch-hunt, out of fear of being removed from office.

Mr. Azzrudin Mohamed definitely would become a game changer in the political landscape of Guyana, a place, where we are held hostages in our very own beautiful oil rich country; enforced with authoritarian rule, under the pretext of being taken care in a free democracy.

A gentleman, with a compassionate approach towards the masses, Mr. Azzrudin Mohamed has demonstrated in his personal capacity, financial commitments, support and investments towards the welfare of the less fortunate and have single handedly, challenged the status quo through his empathy model, for those who have been yelling out for help, weeping and grieving from sorrow and pains and unable to find their way out of the dark tunnels, from the traumatic experience of uncertainty; when we would have boarded a ship with a promise of a smooth economical journey, but was hoodwinked and found ourselves in uncharted rough seas, with those ruthless and bloodthirsty pirates at the wheel.

But this young and ambitious politician and business magnate has already established a heart connection and trust among the poor and ordinary citizens of our country. Mr. Azzrudin Mohamed approach towards assisting those in desperate need, in fairness, has no political boundaries, prejudices, race or geographical settings. As a catalyst for change, he continues to play a lead role in society that resonates empowerment for the underprivileged, disabled, destitutes and those who found themselves in disasters, across our country as a whole.

He is also an exceptionally young role model, with a charisma and possessed the necessary tools, which can create a paradigm shift in our country’s development plan. His influence, warmness and compelling audiences from his visits to the slums of the ghetto and to the isolated indigenous communities, are testimonies of his growing popularity among the Guyanese nation.

As a result of fulfilling his mandate in a timely manner and with the hard work and dedication by “Team Mohamed’s” the PPP/C administration is desperately trying to inject a lethal formula to poison the hearts and minds of our young 21st century young generation and Guyanese at large, in order to place wool over their eyes, to the accomplishments and successes that were made by many, who received the blessings, from his good deeds.

But dispute of Mr. Azzrudin Mohamed being thrown down the “gauntlet” by the haters and envies of his remarkable contribution towards civil society, he has remained steadfast and will continue to make in-roads into the hinterland indigenous communities and other areas, where evidence exists of government neglect and failure in delivering adequate assistance to improve the lives of the people.

Editor, The PPP/C , Guyana Daily News, Newsroom and other pro-PPP propaganda out-lets, have all launched a smear campaign against those who are standing up for the rights of the oppressed people in our country, in particularly targeting our good Samaritan.

Editor, it is time for Mr. Azzrudin Mohamed to stop pussy footing on his political platform, and to come forward and make it clear to the public that he is in the race. His thousands of supporters, have already taken up their seats at the national political stadium, and are anxiously awaiting to get onto their feet to wave their flags and to cheer him on, as he makes his way to the political starting point, hence to the podium; where he will prove his ability and with the stamina to exorcise those racist demons that took possession of the PPP/C regime, together with the help of their vampires, who suckle and feeds on every drop of blood of the poor and the needy.

Moreso, in their call for a continued divide and rule system, a curse that is hurting and haunting our beautiful country, where a polarized society was created, while abuse, greed, hate; discrimination and corruption are rampant; especially at this time, when a healing process and reconciliation are much needed among our six races in this beautiful and oil rich land of ours.

Better must come!
Yours truly,
Mark Anthony Rodrigues
Indigenous activist
