Last Saturday tourism and industry professionals gathered at the WANSat office for the official launch of Vistapoints.gy, an innovative streaming platform developed by Vista Services Inc. designed to spotlight Guyana’s stunning natural eco-destinations. So said a release to the press.

Orson Ferguson, Managing Director of Vista Services Inc. speaking at the launch said ““Vistapoints.gy was created to make it easy for people around the world and at home to get a taste of Guyana’s unparalleled natural beauty. Using solar-powered, high-definition cameras and high-efficiency satellite equipment, our platform delivers the highest quality video stream using the smallest possible footprint. The expansion of Vistapoints.gy is seen as essential for promoting Guyana’s diverse eco-tourism attractions. By broadening the range of featured locations, the platform aims to appeal to a larger audience—ranging from adventure travelers to cultural enthusiasts. This growth will help drive interest to lesser-known sites, creating new opportunities for local businesses and community-based tourism initiatives. Ferguson emphasised that close collaboration with local stakeholders is crucial to ensure that the platform’s expansions are both culturally enriching and economically beneficial.

Ms. Dee George, Chair of the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG), spoke to the platform’s transformative potential for the country’s tourism industry. She said “Vistapoints.gy offers a unique opportunity to showcase Guyana’s stunning landscapes, rich culture, and diverse experiences. By connecting global audiences through authentic storytelling, it has the power to drive international tourism while preserving and celebrating our heritage,” George also shared her excitement about the future innovations that Vista Services is planning, with the expectation of even more groundbreaking developments.

Andre Jones, CEO of WANSat, emphasised the importance of this collaboration for local innovation. The partnership he said demonstrates how local innovation and advanced technology can elevate Guyana’s profile.  According to Jones, the solar-powered equipment, with its programmable power-saving capabilities, aligns perfectly with our country’s vision for sustainable development. Vistapoints.gy is not just a platform—it’s a benchmark for digital media in the region,”

Vistapoints.gy is now poised to redefine how people connect with Guyana’s eco-tourism offerings, seamlessly integrating technology, cultural promotion, and sustainability, the release concluded.
