China-US tech collaboration can continue despite challenges

Despite recent reports of some Chinese applicants being denied US visas for the 2025 CES trade show, over 1,300 Chinese exhibitors still participated, accounting for almost one-third of the total exhibitors.

CGTN’s Hou Jing points out that Chinese and US companies have achieved cooperation in critical areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) chips and new energy vehicles. She argues that even with ongoing geopolitical hurdles, more collaboration can happen between the two tech giants as both countries have their own technological strengths.
