Bravo appointed as Head Coach for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders

Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been appointed as Head Coach of the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders for the 2025 International league T20 (ILT20) season, the team announced on Saturday.

Bravo, who retired from professional cricket after the 2024 Caribbean Premier League, most recently served as a bowling consultant for Afghanistan at the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, helping them get all the way to the semi-finals.

The veteran of 520 T20 games throughout his storied career also served as a bowling coach for the Chennai Super Kings in the 2023 and 2024 editions of the Indian Premier League and will serve as a mentor for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2025 edition.

Bravo will take charge of a squad filled with West Indian players including the likes of Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Terrance Hinds and Kyle Mayers.

The Knight Riders open their account against MI Emirates on January 12. Sportsmax
