The event, which saw the distribution of food items to numerous households, was a heartwarming gesture aimed at providing relief during the festive season.

Narine told this publication it was heartening to see the expressions of gratitude on the faces of those who might not have been able to afford a meal this season. “Those of us who could help the less fortunate should,” he said. The former mayor took the opportunity to call on the Government to take better care of the vulnerable in society. According to him, people can tell whether a Government is caring or not by the way it treats those in need.

Narine also took the opportunity to express gratitude to all the sponsors who made the event possible, stating that he is deeply thankful for their generous support and may God continue to bless them all
