For the first time in the history of the Turks and Caicos Islands’ InterCaribbean’s 32-year existence, the airline’s entire flight crew was made up of women. This day in history was Thursday, November 14, 2024.

The airline celebrated the achievement in a Facebook post saying, “In an industry where only 4-6 % of commercial pilots worldwide are women, this achievement marks more than a milestone – it’s a beacon for change.”

The all-female crew’s successful flight is a testament to the growing presence of women in commercial aviation, and what women can achieve in a environment that treat them as equal and allow them to thrive.

The airline, in congratulating its “amazing crew,” is also inviting female pilots to apply; to “Come fly with us!!!”
