Celebrating Excellence, Ms. Umadevi Indrawattie-Bumbury, Learning Pod Leader of the Month

STEMGuyana is proud to recognize Ms. Umadevi Indrawattie-Bumbury as our Pod Leader of the Month. Ms. Umadevi, who leads the Learning Pod at Good Hope Primary, has quickly distinguished herself as a passionate and skilled educator, enrolling over 30 students in just two months—a testament to her commitment and dedication to advancing education.

Pod Analyst Samantha Whyte expressed her admiration for Ms. Umadevi, stating, “I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Umadevi for two months, and in this short time, she has demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication. She communicates effectively with both her students and the STEMGuyana team and consistently follows instructions with precision. Her commitment to addressing reading challenges in her school is inspiring, and her efforts have had an immediate impact.”

With 11 years of teaching experience and nearly two years as part of STEMGuyana, Ms. Umadevi has become a cornerstone of her community. Her students are not only gaining knowledge but are also developing essential skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and digital literacy. “STEMGuyana is truly making a great impact on the lives of our future generation,” Ms. Umadevi shared. “This program goes beyond academics, fostering curiosity, resilience, and a love for learning that will guide them through life.”

The hands-on programming and robotics activities at Good Hope Primary are empowering students to envision brighter futures. “Seeing our learners’ eyes light up as they explore new skills fills me with hope and pride for their future,” Ms. Umadevi added. “STEMGuyana is not just educating; it’s empowering the next generation.”
