Six Guyanese Cyclists to participate in Tour Cycliste de Guiana in French Guiana

The Guyana Cycling Federation has announced six cyclists will participate in the 33rd edition of the Tour Cycliste de Guiana, which will take place in French Guiana from August 17 to 25, 2024. This challenging nine-stage race will feature top teams from Suriname, French Guiana, France, Martinique, and Guadeloupe.

Alex Mendes – Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycling Club

Paul Chooweenam – Team Alanis

The Federation said the cyclists have shown exceptional skill and dedication, earning their place among the Caribbean’s best, and their participation underscores the growing talent and competitive spirit within Guyana’s cycling community.

The Guyana Cycling Federation expresses gratitude to the clubs and supporters who have contributed to the development of these athletes. We are confident that our cyclists will perform admirably and make Guyana proud.
