The Guyana Cycling Federation has announced six cyclists will participate in the 33rd edition of the Tour Cycliste de Guiana, which will take place in French Guiana from August 17 to 25, 2024. This challenging nine-stage race will feature top teams from Suriname, French Guiana, France, Martinique, and Guadeloupe.
Representing Guyana are:
Briton John – We Stand United Cycling Club (2024 reigning National Champion)
Christopher Griffith – KFC Evolution Cycling Club
Cortis Dey – KFC Evolution Cycling Club
Quincy Ridley – Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycling Club
Alex Mendes – Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycling Club
Paul Chooweenam – Team Alanis
The Federation said the cyclists have shown exceptional skill and dedication, earning their place among the Caribbean’s best, and their participation underscores the growing talent and competitive spirit within Guyana’s cycling community.
